Our History
The Poona Blind Men's Association (PBMA), founded on 2nd October 1952 by the late Mr. Tukaram Sahadeo Bamankar and a group of visually impaired individuals, is a registered charitable organization dedicated to the welfare and empowerment of the blind. Over the years, with the support of visionaries like the late Mr. N. M. Merchant and the late Mr. Niranjan Pandya, PBMA has grown into one of the most respected organizations for the blind in India and abroad.

Established in 2016 under the guidance of Shri. Nitin Desai, Shri Parvez Billimoria and Dr. Col. Madan Deshpande, our mission is to deliver advanced LASIK laser services accessible to all segments of society.
